Addressing housing affordability: Public hearing Tuesday in Stowe Township

A public hearing focusing on finding solutions to address housing affordability will take place from 10 a.m. to noon Tuesday, Sept. 16, at the Pleasant Ridge housing community, 251 Jefferson Drive in Stowe Township.

The Democratic Policy Committee Hearing is being hosted by Sens. Nick Miller (D-14), Jay Costa (D43), Wayne Fontana (D-42), Nick Pisciottano (D-45) and Lindsey Williams (D-45).

This hearing will examine housing affordability in the Commonwealth and seek solutions to this critical issue, as the lack of accessible housing has impacted the economy, communities, employers and residents in Pennsylvania.

The panel will receive testimony from the following organizations: Allegheny County Housing Authority, Habitat for Humanity, Action Housing, LEVEL: Equity Building and Allegheny County.
