Montour secured a 3-1 volleyball victory over Moon Area, led by Delaney Dzurenda’s 14 kills. Elsewhere, Fort Cherry edged OLSH in a five-set match, while Bishop Canevin overcame Union. In cross country, OLSH won the girls section title and in boys soccer, Montour beat Blackhawk 2-1.

Our Lady of the Sacred Heart’s girls varsity cross country team excelled at the Youthtowne Clash, finishing second overall among 18 teams. Eva Crofford led with an eighth-place finish. In girls soccer, Montour defeated Trinity 6-0, highlighted by Irelynn Hobbs’ four goals, while Moon Area bested DuBois 4-2.

Our Lady of the Sacred Heart placed second at the Class AA girls division in the Red, White and Blue Invitational cross country meet. In boys soccer, OLSH fell to Trinity Christian and the Chargers girls team edged Ambridge. Moon’s girls soccer team tied but the Tigers boys team lost.

Irelyn Hobbs scored three goals, leading Montour to a 6-0 win against Carlynton in a WPIAL girls soccer match. Brooklyn Young, Holly Zulka and Uma Hann contributed one goal each. In cross country, Moon Area’s boys and girls teams placed among the top five at the Gateway Invitational.

Our Lady of the Sacred Heart’s girls cross country team excelled, winning its division at the Hoka Night Cross Country Showcase. Mira Mosca led the team with a ninth-place finish. In soccer, Montour girls secured a win, while OLSH boys faced a tough loss.
