West Hills high school athletic teams are set for significant changes next winter, with several boys and girls basketball, swimming and wrestling teams altering classifications or section membership. Increased competition is anticipated, particularly in boys basketball, as local schools face new opponents and challenges.

Our Lady of the Sacred Heart achieved a thrilling 6-5 baseball victory over Apollo-Ridge, with Dean Douglass hitting a bases-clearing triple in the seventh inning. Meanwhile, Carlynton and Bishop Canevin claimed baseball wins while Montour prevailed in softball action.
