CONTEST | ‘Out Boo Your Neighbors’ in the West Hills Gazette Halloween house decorating contest

Last year’s winning yard is that of Carnegie’s Rob and Rebecca Lee.

We have good news for our October -obsessed Gazette readers!

We’re continuing the annual “Out Boo Your Neighbors” house and yard decorating contest that began several years ago with our print predecessor Gazette 2.0.

Send us your pictures of the most festive, Fall or Halloween-themed houses in the West Hills. If you love to decorate during Autumn, please send us a picture of your outdoor displays. Or if you see a house that you love, please nominate them.

We’ll be selecting our favorites and sharing those photos to celebrate the season. Winners will be chosen by West Hills Gazette Editorial Board members.

Last year’s winning Halloween display was located at Rob and Rebecca Lee’s Flynn Street home in Carnegie. Competition was stiff, with choosing the runnersup a tough pick.

The Glory

The top prize winner will receive a Halloween-themed gift basket including lottery scratch-offs and local gift certificates. They’ll also have the glory of being able to say, their home is the best decorated in all of the West Hills. The runnersup will win a gift certificate to an area business.

Send your photos with your contact information and the street address of the home to: contest@westhillsgazette.com. Deadline is October 27, 2025.
