Crafton calls for community input on local projects

Union Avenue is set to be completely reconstructed after being left in disrepair by recent gas line replacements. Peoples Gas is partnering with Crafton Borough to split the $290,000 cost for the reconstruction of Union Avenue.

The borough is preparing for ways to accommodate residents as the road undergoes a complete reconstruction throughout different phases of the project.

There will be a public open house held at the Crafton Community Center on Wednesday, April 12 at 6:30 p.m.

The open house will provide an opportunity for community members to share feedback on the proposal.

Crafton council members are also asking for community input on the multi-municipal zoning project, a collaboration with Ingram Borough to update local zoning to allow an increase in business activity to the area.

A public engagement workshop will be held at the stage in Crafton Park on Wednesday, April 19 at 5:30 p.m.

The event is for residents, businesses and stakeholders of both Crafton and Ingram boroughs to ask questions and see the progress of the project.

In the case of inclement weather, the workshop will be held in the Crafton Community Center, 140 Bradford Ave., Crafton.
