The Talk
Christmas is the most artistic of all the holy days. Down through history it has inspired some of the greatest art — manger scenes and Madonnas, wise men and humble shepherds. But more than that, it points to a profound mystery, God’s desire to make Himself visible. Every artist knows of this same inner impulse, the drive to make a hidden mystery somehow visible for others. In his talk, Fr. Jacob will explore the role of art and beauty in the divine plan, and in short, he will speak in celebration of the art of Christmas. After this talk, Fr. Jacob will interview artist Michael Provenza, and the two will be available for a Q&A.
