A McKees Rocks woman is a millionaire after winning tech billionaire Elon Musk’s daily voter petition lottery.
Former Stowe tax collector Shannon Tomei was among the 1,200 people who attended Musk’s get-out-the-vote town hall at The Roxian on Sunday.
Each day leading up to the Nov. 5 presidential election, the Tesla and SpaceX founder plans to give away $1 million to a random signer of his super PAC’s petition to support the Constitution and protect free speech and gun rights.
“I’m grateful to God that it happened. When you have faith in the Lord, good things happen.”

“All you have to do is sign a petition in support of the Constitution,” Musk told the crowd. “You don’t even have to vote. You just have to sign a petition saying you believe in the Constitution. Which, if you already believe in the Constitution, you’re just signing something you already believe, and you can win a million dollars.”
Each winner is asked to act as a spokesperson for Musk’s America PAC, which supports efforts to elect former President Donald Trump.
Legal experts are questioning whether the lottery violates election law.
Tomei was unavailable for comment, but her husband Ian, owner of Tomei’s Towing on Island Avenue, said, “I’m grateful to God that it happened. When you have faith in the Lord, good things happen.”

Congrats Shannon that’s awesome 👌
