Pittsburgh Indie Film Festival starts three-day run Friday at Parkway Theater

The 2025 Pittsburgh Independent Film Festival will kick off its three-day run Friday, June 20, at the Parkway Theater and Film Lounge.

Opening ceremonies are slated to take place at 6 p.m. Friday at the theater, located at 644 Broadway Ave. Doors open at 5 p.m.

Three films are on tap for Friday – “DRIVE,” a three-hour music video; “Father Alphonse and the Fight between Carnival and Lent,” a nine-minute animation film; and “Kushner Come Home: The Story of Our Cabin,” a one-hour feature documentary.

Friday’s schedule also features a live comedy show starting at 9:30 p.m.

Saturday’s schedule gets under way at 9:57 a.m. and will feature nearly three dozen works of various types – documentary shorts, narrative shorts, feature narratives, webisodes, experimental, music videos and animation.

Sunday’s schedule begins at 10 a.m. and will feature 20 works, with the last session starting at 9:10 p.m.
