Motorists planning to use the Parkway West in Robinson Township in the coming days could face a variety of temporary restrictions, weather permitting.
The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation – PennDOT – said a single-lane restriction will occur on eastbound Interstate 376 between the I-79 Erie/Washington (Exit 64A) interchange and the on-ramp from northbound I-79 from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 25, to allow bridge deck repair work to occur on the structure over Campbells Run Road.
PennDOT District 11 also announced that an overnight single-lane restriction will occur from 9 p.m. through 5 p.m. in both directions on I-376 between the Campbells Run (Exit 62) and the Erie/Washington/I-79 (Exit 64) interchanges beginning Monday, Oct. 27., and continuing through mid-January as needed.
Crews will conduct drainage repairs, signage and delineator and rumble strip installation work.
Next, a traffic shift will occur nightly from 6 p.m. to 5 a.m. Monday and Tuesday night, Oct. 27-28, on the ramp from northbound I-79 to westbound I-376 (exit 59B) toward the airport, and on the ramp from southbound I-79 to eastbound I-376 (exit 59A) toward Pittsburgh.
Last, PennDOT announced overnight ramp closures on eastbound (inbound) I-376 (Parkway West) in Robinson and Collier townships beginning Friday night, Oct. 24, weather permitting.
The ramp that carries eastbound I-376 to northbound I-79 (Exit 64A) toward Erie will close for anti-icing system installation work according to the following schedule:
Weekend Ramp Closures
- 6 p.m. Friday, Oct. 24, to 7 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 25
- 6 p.m. Friday, Oct. 31, to 7 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 1
Weeknight Ramp Closures
- 6 p.m. to 5 a.m. Monday through Thursday, Oct. 27-30
Traffic will be detoured as work occurs.

- Take the Carnegie (Exit 57) exit
- Turn left onto West Main Street
- Take the on-ramp to northbound I-79 toward Erie
