Another one bites the dust

This fire-damaged home in the 800-block of 7th Street in Stowe Township was torn down on Sept. 10.

A fire-damaged single-family home on 7th Street in Stowe was leveled by a demolition crew during the morning of Sept. 10. The township maintains a list of condemned properties prioritized for demolition and has obtained several large grants in recent years to help the process along.

“[The township’s demolition efforts] are long overdue,” said Commissioner Cheryl McDermott. “I think that the process now is moving in the right direction.”
