The Bishop Canevin girls soccer team came up on the short end of a tight contest Wednesday, as they fell 2-1 to Sewickley Academy at Nichols Field in Edgeworth.
The loss dropped the Crusaders to 2-3 in WPIAL Class A Section 3 play, and they’re now 2-5 overall.
Sewickley Academy improved to 5-0-1 in section play and 5-1-1 overall.
Sewickley Academy jumped to a 1-0 lead and maintained it throughout the rest of the game.
Bella Lane scored the lone goal for Bishop Canevin.
