Our Lady of the Sacred Heart’s Jonah Schollaert leads the WPIAL Class 2A golf championships with a 2-under-par 70 after the opening round. In girls volleyball, Bishop Canevin defeated Greensburg Central Catholic 3-0, while Our Lady of the Sacred Heart won in girls soccer, 4-3.

Moon Area triumphed 6-0 against Blackhawk, while Chartiers Valley edged Montour 3-2 in overtime. In girls soccer, Carlynton dominated Serra 7-0. In girls volleyball, OLSH downed Quaker Valley.

In a thrilling girls soccer game, Moon Area edged Montour, 2-1, Wednesday thanks to Riley LaFayette’s late free kick. Meanwhile, Our Lady of the Sacred Heart’s girls cross country team won the section title, and Eric Haupt led Moon’s boys soccer victory with a second overtime goal.

Our Lady of the Sacred Heart posted an impressive 11-0 victory over Carlynton in boys soccer action Tuesday, scoring eight goals in the second half. Meanwhile, OLSH’s Katie Suess qualified for the WPIAL Regional golf tournament, and Raven Karlick will represent Montour in the WPIAL Girls Tennis Singles Tournament.
