After a quiet season opener, Bishop Canevin quarterback Brady Wagner looked dominant in the Crusaders’ 55-7 win over Neshannock last week. He’ll try to lead Bishop Canevin to a third win in as many starts Friday night, topping the slate of seven games involving West Hills schools.

The Robert Morris University Colonials will face Akron on Sept. 12 after their 29-9 victory over West Virginia State. Akron recently lost to Wake Forest. RMU’s quarterback Carson Haggard performed well Saturday, throwing for three touchdowns. The Colonials’ defense has allowed only nine points this season in two wins.

Our Lady of the Sacred Heart triumphed 10-0 over South Side in a girls soccer match.. The victory improved their record to 2-1. In other girls soccer action, Moon Area fell 1-0 to South Fayette. In boys golf, Moon Area defeated Montour 199-213, while OLSH beat Avella.

Hayden Dunn led Moon Area to a 3-1 win over Shaler with two goals and an assist in a WPIAL boys soccer match. Trent Scott’s early goal set the tone, while Dunn secured the victory late with a free kick. Other notable matches included Carlynton’s 4-3 win over East Allegheny and Bishop Canevin’s 4-0 victory.
