Council approves new website

Borough officials say a planned website makeover will allow residents to better navigate borough news and resources.

During their March 8 monthly meeting, council approved a $5,000 contract with design contractor Kathy Then to create a new website with an emphasis on accessibility and ease-of-use. Officials had spent months discussing the need for updating their online presence.

“It would be more user-friendly,” said Then. “I can make it look good – I need your input.”

Under the contract, Then will spend 100 hours building the website and then will be available for additional support at a cost of $50 per hour.

The borough will also be responsible for additional web hosting expenses.
