Deluzio: Health care, immigration enforcement among topics discussed at Carnegie Town Hall

I had a Town Hall Tuesday, Feb. 17, with about 40 constituents at the Chartiers Active Life Center in Carnegie. I was joined by Max Richtman, the CEO and president of the National Committee to Protect Social Security and Medicare.

The one-hour event covered a wide range of topics, including Social Security, health care and more.

The town hall gave constituents an opportunity to speak directly with me, and a chance for me to share updates on what is happening and my fights for us in Washington.

It was great to see so many people there and to talk with so many seniors about our government. If you want to join my next event, make sure to sign up for my newsletter.

My job is to fight for the good people of Western Pennsylvania, and these days folks have a lot of questions about what’s happening down in Washington. It was good to have an open conversation with seniors in Carnegie and hear what’s on their minds.

I’m confident that we in Western Pennsylvania have the fight and determination to restore the American Dream, and conversations like the one that took place Tuesday are an important part of that. No matter what, I won’t stop fighting for us in Western Pennsylvania.

I’m also proud that I have secured more than $193 million in federal funding for 14 projects across Western PA — that’s the largest amount that any U.S. House Democrat has brought home through this year’s funding bills.

This includes extending the Panhandle Trail several miles by acquiring and converting inactive railroad property in Carnegie, along with many other projects across our region.

As always: if my office can help you or your family with any issues you’re having with a federal government agency, please let me know. I have district offices in Carnegie, Center Township and Penn Hills, and my team stands ready to help. Give us a call at (412) 344-5583.

Very respectfully,

Chris Deluzio
Member of Congress
