The Cornell Raiders came up short in their final game of the season Saturday night, falling 74-45 to Summit Academy in a Class 1A Section 1 boys basketball contest.
Cornell got off to a hot start and led the Eagles 17-13 after one quarter.
But Summit Academy erupted for 22 second-quarter points and limited the Raiders to just two to take complete control.
Ky’zir Rowan led Summit Academy with 22 points while Khalil Ollie had 13.
Eduardo Benitez scored 18 points to lead Cornell and Terrance Collington finished with 14 for the Raiders, who finished their season 4-16 overall and 2-8 in section play.
