Tiernan McCullough led Our Lady of the Sacred Heart to a 55-24 victory over Rochester Friday night in a WPIAL Class 2A section 4 boys basketball matchup.
McCullough led the Chargers with 12 points and Patrick Altmar added 10 as they whipped the Rams.
OLSH, which improved to 9-3 overall and 4-1 in the section, held a six-point lead after one quarter but outscored Rochester 12-2 in the second and 20-13 in the third to put the game away.
Nate Bills scored 10 points for Rochester.
Moon Area 61, West Allegheny 47
Michael Santicola scored 20 points to lead three players in double figures, pacing the visiting Tigers past the Indians in a Class 5A Section 4 matchup.
Moon, which improved to 11-2 overall and 4-1 in the section, jumped to a 17-5 first-quarter lead and that set the tone for the rest of the game.
Carter Tumulty added 15 points for Moon and Amir Turner chipped in with 10 points.
Donovan O’Connor scored 17 points for West Allegheny, which fell to 5-8 overall and 1-4 in the section.
Bishop Canevin 61, Keystone Oaks 51
Drew Allen scored 19 points, including eight in the fourth quarter, to help the Crusaders down the Eagles in a Class 3A Section 2 matchup.
Lamier Wade added 18 points and Jackson Maddix 11 for Bishop Canevin, which improved to 4-0 in the section and 5-7 overall.
The Crusaders led by just four points at halftime but built a nine-point lead going into the final eight minutes and held on for the win.
Carlynton 59, South Side 52
Damien Holloway scored a game-high 25 points as the Cougars powered to a Class 3A Section 2 victory.
South Side led 11-8 after one quarter but Carlynton used a 17-13 edge in the second quarter to take the lead and then added to it by outscoring the Rams 20-15 in the third quarter.
The Cougars, who improved to 2-2 in the section and 6-6 overall, led by as many as 14 points midway through the fourth quarter and held on for the win.
Devonte Dean added 10 points for Carlynton. William Calan and Tristin Reed each scored 17 points for South Side.
McGuffey 55, Sto-Rox 38
Aidan Cunningham scored 30 points to lead McGuffey, which used a huge third quarter to take control in a Class 3A Section 2 game.
McGuffey held a 29-21 halftime lead but outscored Sto-Rox 20-5 in the third quarter.
Marcus Griffin scored 17 points for the Vikings, who dropped to 2-8 overall and 0-4 in the section.
Nazareth Prep 70, Cornell 13
Leon Harison scored 23 points to help Nazareth Prep steamroll the Raiders in a Class 1A Section 1 game.
Nazareth Prep improved to 4-0 in the section and 9-2 overall while Cornell dropped to 0-3 in section play and 1-10 overall.
GIRLS: Montour 60, Lincoln Park 30
Tiffany Miller scored 20 points and Sofia Brandy added 12 as the Spartans whipped the Leopards in a non-section game.
Montour jumped to a 25-12 lead after one quarter and expanded that margin to 37-17 at halftime.
The Spartans improved to 6-6 overall.
