Maddie Sines and Avery Arnold each had two hits and drove in two runs to spark Fairbanks High School to an 11-7 victory over Our Lady of the Sacred Heart in a softball game played Saturday in Pigeon Forge, Tenn.
The Panthers, from Milford Center, Ohio, parlayed 11 hits, two walks and four OLSH errors into 11 runs, scoring once in the first, twice in the second, three times in the fourth and four times in the fifth after the Chargers had tied the score at 7-7 in the top of the fifth.
Leann Walzer had three hits and drove in a run for OLSH, which also had 11 hits. Sophia Wasko had two hits and drove in a run while Sydney Trippe, Mya Eshenbaugh, Carmyn Hummel and Claire Bulls each had a hit and had an RBI.

Carlynton vs. South Park and Burgettstown
The Cougars had three girls and two boys claim first-place finishes in at least one event and the girls also claimed a victory in the 3,200-meter relay in a double dual meet that took place Thursday.
Lani Blevins placed first in the 1,600 and 3,200 with times of 5 minutes, 42.30 seconds and 13:20.71, respectively. Riley Mauro took first in the 300 hurdles (51.04), Bella Sysak won the 800 in 2:48.97 and Lucy Vetter claimed a win in the high jump with a leap of 4 feet, 6 inches.
The Cougars’ winning 3,200-relay effort featured Sysak, Maria Leithouser, Ava Pancake and Blevins.
For the boys, Ethan Moldovan won the 1,600 (4:53.68) and 3,200 (10:43.,67), and Dewayne Fisher took the high jump with a mark of 5-10.
Second-place finishers in the girls meet for the Cougars were Mauro (200, 28.36), Sysak (400, 1:09.84) and Aireonya White (100, 13.47). Miyando Lewis placed second in the 100 (11.48) and 200 (23.29) in the boys meet while finishing third were E’Moni Yelverton (400, 55.97) and Luke Palmer (discus, 107-6).
Third-place finishers in the girls meet were Leithauser (1,600, 6:19.06) and Willow Palmer (shot put, 26-11).
