High school wrestling: Carlynton’s Sudor posts 100th victory in Cougars’ loss

Braiden Sudor notched his 100th career wrestling victory, but it wasn’t enough to keep Carlynton from absorbing a 41-24 defeat at the hands of visiting Brooke High School of Wellsburg, W. Va., Wednesday night in a non-section dual meet.

Sudor’s 100th career win came by way of forfeit at 215 pounds, and he was one of four Cougar wrestlers to come out on top on the night.

Cam Seitz won by fall at 145 pounds, Aaryn Edwards registered a pin at 160, and at 285, Henry Barbisch posted Carlynton’s third win by fall.

The Cougars will be back in action Saturday, Feb. 15, at the WPIAL Class AA Northern Sectional Tournament at Keystone Oaks.

Bryce Thomas and Dalton Dobyns won by decision and Nathan LaFayette registered a victory by technical fall for the Tigers.
