Irelynn Hobbs scored three more goals to lead Montour to a 5-0 victory over visiting Chartiers Valley Wednesday in a WPIAL Class 3A Section 2 girls soccer game.

Hobbs now has scored 16 goals on the season, as Montour improved to 5-1-1 overall and 1-0-1 in section play with Wednesday’s win.

Kaci Mitcheltree scored once for the Spartans, who added an own goal to close out the scoring.

West Allegheny 2, Moon Area 0

The Indians blanked the Tigers in a Class 3A Section 2 contest played at the AHN Montour Sports Complex.

Freedom 1, Our Lady of the Sacred Heart 0 – The Chargers dropped to 4-3 overall and 1-2 in Class 1A Section 1 with the loss to the Bulldogs.

The Buccaneers blanked the Crusaders in a Class 1A Section 2 contest played Tuesday. The loss dropped Bishop Canevin to 3-2 overall and 2-2 in section play.

The Eagles swept the Crusaders in a Class 1A Section 1 match played Tuesday. No further details were available.

The Golden Beavers polished off the Raiders in three straight games. Cornell dropped to 2-4 overall and 0-3 in Class 1A Section 1.

Moon Area 200, Chartiers Valley 221

Patrick Queen led the Tigers to a Class 3A Section 6 victory with a round of 37, followed by Evan Harper and Ian Bonidie, who both shot 40. Matthew Koch carded a 41 for Moon and Clayton Foster finished at 42. Nico Fodor of Chartiers Valley captured medalist honors by shooting 36.

Moon improved to 10-1 overall and 9-1 in section play.

Chartiers-Houston 204, Our Lady of the Sacred Heart 215

Jo Jo Kaskulski shot 36 to claim medalist honors and lead the Buccaneers past the Chargers in a Class 2A Section 4 match at Washington Country Club.

No individual scores were reported for OLSH, which fell to 7-3 overall and in section play.
