From left to right in row one, Bonnie Rubin, Man-ager of Programs and Partnerships of Bender Lead-ership Academy Scott Hammerstrom, Cookie, Cook-ie Ice Cream Designer Reese Feda, Barista Hannah ox , Co-owner Connie Feda, and OVR Coordinator Michael Sroka. In the back row stands Bureau Direc-tor of OVR Ryan Hyde and Vocational Rehabilitation Coordinator Stephen Coperich. The business opened last summer with the intention of providing people with special needs an environment where they could learn valuable skills, and they were appreciated.

“A lot of places you have to change the culture of a place for people with special needs, but that is already our culture,” Connie Feda said at the time.
