It’s been a tradition for years — and it continued Monday.
Representatives from the McKees Rocks VFW Vesle Post 418, the Presston and Stowe fire departments, the McKees Rocks and Stowe Township police departments, the McKees Rocks Historical Society and other groups visit war memorials in and around the greater McKees Rocks/Stowe area on Memorial Day to pay tribute to those who made the ultimate sacrifice.
The group traditionally visits memorials at Sto-Rox High School, Norwood, Holy Trinity Polish church, Chartiers Avenue near the Pittock Memorial, Presston, Holy Ghost, Esplen, the memorial at McKees Rocks Plaza and St. Mary’s Church before winding up at the VFW hall.
