The 2025 edition of the Pittsburgh Steelers were scheduled to take the field for the first time this summer Thursday at Saint Vincent College in Latrobe.
But there was plenty of interest on campus Wednesday for the team’s check-in day.
In years past some marquee players arrived in notable fashion. Examples being a fire truck — James Harrison, tractor — Brett Keisel and a helicopter by none other than Antonio Brown. But this year’s team members checked in without any fanfare.

However, e-bikes and scooters seemed to have stolen the show as a few players arrived via one or the other mode of transportation. Others had them in their vehicles and unpacked them with the rest of their personal camp belongings.
The West Hills Gazette will have coverage from Latrobe beginning with day one, bringing the most comprehensive, complete camp and preseason coverage possible.
We’ll dig for the most notable interesting stories and events that we can unearth and be with you until the opening day of the regular season.
It appears we have already uncovered a story receiving national attention in the media circles.
The glowing question on every photographer’s and videographer’s mind today was, has anyone seen Aaron Rodgers yet? Answer was a resounding no!
Scuttlebutt around the mass of media was perhaps he slid in a different entrance to avoid the throng of attention.
According to Pat McAfee, Rodgers slept in the dorms Tuesday night, arriving a day early as he stated on his show today.
The reasons behind that could be many. Perhaps in the proper perspective, he may be excited about this year’s chances of getting another Super Bowl ring in what certainly appears to be his last hurrah in the NFL.
Regardless, things on and off the field will unfold beginning Thursday at 1:55 p.m.
