Josh Jenkins became the eighth quarterback in Sto-Rox history to complete 4,000 career yards on Sept. 23. This milestone was reached during the Vikings’ 52-0 win over Keystone Oaks where Jenkins was 10 for 20 with 143 yards.
A senior, Jenkins now has 4,023 yards and the rest of the season in front of him. Jenkins passed up former Viking John Simmons, a Harvard graduate, who was the seventh all-time leading passer at 4,007 yards.
Sto-Rox is the only school in WPIAL to have eight quarterbacks with passers completing 4,000 yards. The South Fayette Lions are next in line with five.
