Senior Angelina Schild tied a school record for excellence, firing a 2-under-par 34 to pace Moon Area to 164-210 victory over Deer Lakes Monday at Moon Golf Club.
The win boosted the Tigers’ overall record to 6-0 and left them 5-0 in section play.
Schild tied the record for a low individual score for Moon Area, which has had a girls golf program for 10 years.
She shares the low score record with Rhianna Firmstone, who shot 2-under-par 34 during the 2020 season.
Schild hit seven of nine greens in regulation while rolling in two 12-foot birdie putts on holes 2 and 6 and dropping a 4-foot putt for birdie on No. 4.
Aubrey Marasco chipped in with a 41, just missing an eagle on No. 4 and recording a birdie.
Hope Cordle shot a personal-best 43 while Liv DeGori carded a 46. Maddie Rees shot a personal-best 55 for Montour.
Elainna Dietrich and Evie Vandershaft each shot 51 to lead Deer Lakes.

Owen Eastgate scored the first two goals of the match Sunday to send the Raiders on their way to a win over the Tigers, who fell to 0-2.
Max Gochis and Michael Porkzywinski added back-to-back goals in the 25th and 27th minutes to make it 4-0, and Seneca Valley added two more second-half goals to seal the win.
