This weekend, two West Hills high schools host girls basketball tournaments. Both West Hills girls soccer teams won their WPIAL Class 3A tournament matches, with Moon Area defeating Oakland Catholic 3-0 and Montour edging Hampton 1-0. Carlynton lost to South Allegheny in WPIAL volleyball tournament action.
Kendall Dydek scored three goals in Moon Area's 8-0 win over Trinity, extending the Tigers' section winning streak to 11 games. Meanwhile, Montour and Our Lady of the Sacred Heart also posted wins in their respective matches.
