Tigers dominate over Spartans in second game of the season

Moon Tigers kicker Jacob Wieland connects to make an extra point out of the hold of Taite Beachy.

The Tigers relied on a dominant defense to pummel the visitors from Montour on Sept. 3.

Moon scored two first-half touchdowns from a blocked punt and another on a quarterback sack and fumble in the endzone. Montour’s lone score of the game came on a 46-yard halfback pass with a missed extra point. Amassing only 38 yards rushing in the first half, the Spartans’ offense picked up the pace in the second half to rack up an additional 192 yards on the ground.

The Tigers stayed perfect at 2-0 after a season-opening win over Seneca Valley 38-21.
