Carlynton’s girls soccer team opened its season Saturday with a double-overtime scoreless tie against host Trinity.
Bella D’Antonio provided strong play in the midfield area, controlling much of the play for Carlynton.
Riley Mauro played well despite having to play a different position due to a teammate’s injury.
Bean Eitel played well from the center back position, stopping several attacks.
Also playing well were Gigi Choate, Mary Crawford and Greta Schriver.
Choate provided some strong defense, winning headers and leading passes. Crawford put pressure on the Trinity back line from her forward spot, and Schriver worked well with Bean holding down a strong center back position.
