Beaver Falls came from behind to edge Our Lady of the Sacred Heart, while Quaker Valley downed Sto-Rox and Serra Catholic defeated Bishop Canevin. In boys play, Hopewell topped Sto-Rox.
Moon Area excelled at the Allegheny County Wrestling Championships, finishing second with 260.5 points, just behind North Allegheny. Three wrestlers secured gold in their weight classes, contributing to the team's strong performance. In basketball, Moon won both in boys and girls competition and Carlynton's boys also won.
Our Lady of the Sacred Heart defeated Neshannock 60-43 in boys basketball action Friday night, handing the Lancers their first loss in WPIAL Class 2A.
