Quarterback Trey Hopper threw a pair of touchdown passes and Daniel Batch ran for a third score to power Montour to a 24-14 victory over visiting Central Valley Friday night in the season opener for both schools at Thomas J. Birko Memorial Stadium.
High school football season kicks off tonight
The 2024 WPIAL football season will kick off this weekend, and all six West Hills area high schools will be in action. Montour, Sto-Rox and Moon will start their campaigns at home tonight while Carlynton and Our Lady of the Sacred Heart are away. Cornell opens it season Saturday away.
