At the PIAA Swim Championships three West Hills swimmers competed and one of them -- Mimi Chamberlain of Cornell -- finished 10th overall in the 200 individual medley and Noah Pickett of Cornell placed 12th overall in the 100 butterfly.

WPIAL basketball tournament: Moon boys survive and advance; Montour, Bishop Canevin, Sto-Rox eliminated

Moon Area defeated Penn-Trafford 45-30 in the WPIAL Class 5A tournament, led by Jackson Bauman’s 20 points. Moon, now 19-3, will face Gateway in the quarterfinals. Meanwhile, Montour fell to Chartiers Valley, Bishop Canevin was upset by Shady Side Academy and Sto-Rox lost to Aliquippa.
