The Carlynton boys basketball team jumped to a big early lead and never looked back on the way to an easy win over Avella Friday night. In girls action, Sto-Rox had little trouble with Carlynton in a 46-22 win.

Moon Area needed an extra four minutes to top host Central Catholic at the Vikings' tournament Saturday while OLSH and Montour claimed victories. Carlynton went to overtime but came up short against Eden Christian.
