Jonah Schollaert, a senior golfer at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart, excels in the high school sports season, earning medalist honors in three matches and leading his team to victories with impressive under-par scores. Schollaert tied for second at last year's PIAA Class 2A tournament.

High school girls golf: DeGori paces Moon Area to fifth straight victory

Liv DeGori led the Moon Area golf team to a 166-195 victory over Bethel Park with a score of 39, featuring two birdies. Aubrey Marasco added an eagle, finishing at 40 for the Tigers, who improved to 5-0 on the young season. Other notable scores included Angelina Schild (41) and Gabby Poeta, who achieved a personal best (46).

The Moon Area girls golf team posted their fourth win of the season Monday, defeating Mt. Lebanon 173-188. Angelina Schild led with a score of 38, while Aubrey Marasco scored 40, including an eagle on the seventh hole.

Harmon, Johnson impress in Steelers’ preseason loss to Tampa Bay

In a 17-14 preseason loss to the Buccaneers, Steelers coach Mike Tomlin praised rookies Derrick Harmon and Kaleb Johnson for their solid performances. Harmon recorded a sack, while Johnson gained notable rushing yards. The Steelers will conclude preseason Thursday.
