PIAA swimming: Cornell’s Pickett brings home pair of medals
Cornell High School's Noah Pickett excelled at the PIAA Swimming and Diving Championships, earning two medals. He secured fifth in the 200 individual medley and seventh in the 500 freestyle. Freshman Mimi Chamberlain reached the consolation finals in the 100 breaststroke, while Carlynton’s Evey Fahnestock and Moon Area's Maddie Puthoff and Isaac Tennant also competed.

The Our Lady of the Sacred Heart’s boys basketball team fell to Sewickley Academy Saturday, 42-35, in the quarterfinals of the PIAA Class 2A Tournament at Peters Township High School.

Claudia Ierullo led Our Lady of the Sacred Heart with 17 points in a narrow 47-43 win against Central Cambria in the PIAA Class 3A girls basketball quarterfinals. Lola Garner and Leah Parker contributed 13 points each. OLSH advances to face Shady Side Academy, while Central Cambria finishes its season at 20-9.

Our Lady of the Sacred Heart rallied from a nine-point halftime deficit to defeat Union, 41-35, in the PIAA Class 2A Boys Basketball Tournament. OLSH outscored Union 30-15 in the second half, securing a quarterfinal spot despite struggling with free throws. Tiernan McCullough led OLSH with 13 points.
