Rachel Stepp, a sophomore sprinter from Moon Area, claimed victories in both the 200- and 400-meter races at the Pine-Richland Invitational. Her teammate Alena Taylor also won the 300-meter hurdles. Both the Tigers' girls and boys teams triumphed in their respective 4x400 relay events.

The Bishop Canevin baseball team lost 8-1 to South Allegheny Thursday, but the game raised awareness for kidney disease in support of assistant coach Tim Jones, who urgently needs a kidney transplant. Riverhounds host Rising Saturday after posting USL Cup victory
The Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC will face the Phoenix Rising FC on Saturday at F.N.B. Stadium. Currently tied for third in the Eastern Conference, the Riverhounds recently won 3-0 over the Greenville Triumph in the USL Cup, with Trevor Amann scoring twice.
