Our Lady of the Sacred Heart and Montour were hardly tested in picking up victories in boys basketball action Friday night. Bishop Canevin, meanwhile, squeezed out a two-point win.
Mike Schneiderlochner takes over for Emily McCleary as head coach of the Montour swim team, but that might be a temporary assignment. The Spartans will count on Anastasia Ulintz and Joseph Stahurski to lead the way.

Montour used exceptional free-throw shooting to claim a big win in a Class 5A Section 4 boys basketball matchup with Chartiers Valley. Moon kept pace by thrashing Lincoln Park, and in Class 2A action, Our Lady of the Sacred Heart came home a winner.
The Montour boys basketball improved to 3-0 and handed Upper St. Clair its first loss of the season Saturday while in girls action, Bishop Canevin and Moon came away with victories.
All four West Hills area high school girls basketball teams that were in action Thursday night posted easy wins in their respective section debuts. Sto-Rox, Our Lady of the Sacred Heart, Montour and Bishop Canevin all proved victorious.
