Over a dozen players from five West Hills high schools were recognized on the All-WPIAL soccer teams. Two players -- Kendall Dydek of Moon Area and Owen Minzer -- earlier were named to the All-State team.

Moon Area and Bishop Canevin both lost in WPIAL football semifinals, ending their seasons. Moon fell to Pine-Richland 34-24, in Class 5A action while Bishop Canevin lost to Clairton 42-22 in a Class 1A matchup. Both teams finished with 9-4 records.
Coach Ryan Linn's Moon Area football team will face Pine-Richland in a WPIAL Class 5A semifinal Friday night, marking their third semifinal appearance in five years. In a Class 1A semifinal, No. 3 seed Bishop Canevin will battle second-seeded Clairton.
