Dylan Huff led the Montour Spartans to a 3-0 volleyball win over South Fayette, while Union cruised past Bishop Canevin in WPIAL softball action Friday. In baseball action, Steel Valley triumphed over Sto-Rox.

Jordynn Carter led Carlynton's unbeaten girls track team to two victories, while the Cougar boys achieved mixed results. Montour's John Rohrkaste placed third in the section tennis tournament to advance to the WPIAL Championships, and Moon's girls lacrosse team edged Shaler.

High school sports: OLSH baseball sweeps Carlynton; Montour softball rolls to win
Chad Minton’s sixth-inning single guided Our Lady of the Sacred Heart to a 5-1 win over Carlynton, completing a doubleheader sweep. OLSH also won the first game 7-0, led by Iseia Fields-Schulz's impressive pitching. Connellsville' pulled out an eighth-inning victory against Montour and Montour's softball whipped Ellwood City.
