High school sports: OLSH softball, Moon baseball pull out close victories; Carlynton track has solid debut
Our Lady of the Sacred Heart pulled out a 4-3 softball victory over Ursuline Friday in Tennessee while Moon Area held on in the final frame to beat Peters Township, 7-6, in a Class 5A Section 2 baseball matchup. Carlynton had success in both track and field and boys tennis.

Landon Blank’s clutch two-run, seventh-inning double led Taylor Allderdice to a 5-4 victory over Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Thursday. Montour also fell in a close one, losing 3-2 to Canon-McMillan.

Montour defeated Western Beaver 17-13, thanks to Shania Cope's four hits and five RBIs, including a home run. Cornell beat Carlynton 10-6 with Shaylee Barrett leading the way. OLSH fell 7-6 to The Ville, while Blackhawk claimed a 10-2 victory over Moon Area.
