Both the Montour and Bishop Canevin boys basketball teams kept their WPIAL title hopes alive with victories in the tournament quarterfinals Friday night. Montour beat Latrobe, 60-52, and the Crusaders topped Keystone Oaks, 67-58.

Top seed Montour had no trouble in its opening-round game of the WPIAL Class 5A boys tournament Tuesday night, pounding Franklin Regional, 70-42, behind 24 points and 10 rebounds from Ama Sow.
High school swimming: Moon boys, girls capture MAC meet titles
The Moon Area boys and girls swim teams outdistanced the competition over the weekend at the Midwestern Athletic Conference Championship meet held Friday and Saturday at Moon. A total of 13 schools competed in both the girls and boys meets.
