A pair of West Hills area teams will look to extend their season-opening win streaks to three games, but they’ll have to do it on the road. Carlynton will travel to meet South Allegheny at 7 p.m. Friday while Cornell heads to Oakmont to play Riverview at noon Saturday.

In other games, Bishop Canevin will open its season against Seton LaSalle, Carlynton travels to Avella, Cornell hosts California, Our Lady of Sacred Heart visits Fort Cherry and Sto-Rox hosts Carmichaels.
The 2024 WPIAL football season will kick off this weekend, and all six West Hills area high schools will be in action. Montour, Sto-Rox and Moon will start their campaigns at home tonight while Carlynton and Our Lady of the Sacred Heart are away. Cornell opens it season Saturday away.
