High schools: Bishop Canevin boys outlast McGuffey; Moon girls down Avonworth
Jackson Maddox led Bishop Canevin to a 56-41 win over McGuffey, scoring 22 points. The Crusaders improved to 12-7 overall, pulling away in the final quarter. In girls basketball, Moon Area defeated Avonworth 44-26.
RMU men’s hockey falls to Bentley, 5-0, in first of back-to-back games
Bentley defeated Robert Morris 5-0 in an Atlantic Hockey America conference men's game, led by Jake Black's hat trick. The Falcons scored in every period and maintained strong defensive play, while RMU struggled with power plays. The teams will face off again Saturday.

Moon Area defeated Mars, 76-38, Friday night boys basketball action,. Montour rallied to beat West Allegheny 50-44. Our Lady of the Sacred Heart topped Shenango 57-19, while Bishop Canevin bested Carlynton 53-41. Washington edged Sto-Rox 62-58, and Avella overcame Cornell 63-49. In girls play, OLSH downed Sto-Rox and Montour fell to West Allegheny.
RMU basketball: Men take on Purdue-Fort Wayne; women visit IU-Indy
The Robert Morris men's basketball team will travel to face Purdue-Fort Wayne Saturday, Jan. 31, seeking redemption after a previous loss. The women's team lost to Purdue-FW, affected by poor shooting, dropping their conference standing. Both teams aim to improve in the Horizon League.

RMU hockey: Men host Bentley; women trek to Happy Valley to battle Penn State
