Montour outlasted Chartiers Valley, 78-67, in a key Class 5A Section 4 matchup while Moon and Our Lady of the Sacred Heart rolled to easy wins in boys basketball action.

Montour's Ama Sow scored five points in overtime to lead the Spartans to a 51-45 victory over Moon Tuesday night in a WPIAL Class 5A Section 4 boys basketball matchup. Our Lady of the Sacred Heart and Bishop Canevin also won.
Girls basketball: Bishop Canevin, OLSH post easy victories; Carlynton, Sto-Rox fall
Bishop Canevin got 21 points from Kya Cooley and 14 from Isabella Sysak in a WPIAL Class 1A Section 2 girls basketball win over Mapletown. OLSH also won while Carlynton and Sto-Rox lost.
