West Hills area high schools are among dozens fielding girls flag football teams this spring, and those involved like what they're seeing. Flag football will become an officially sanctioned PIAA sport in 2026.

Cameran Chambers’ RBI single led Moon Area to a 5-4 victory over Montour in a Class 5A Section 3 softball game. Cornell rolled to sweep of Rochester in softball while OLSH baseball and softball win.
High school tennis: Montour, Carlynton open play Tuesday in WPIAL 2A team championships
Montour and Carlynton will compete in the 2025 WPIAL Class 2A Boys Tennis Championships. Montour, ranked No. 11, faces Hampton, while Carlynton, ranked No. 15, takes on Valley. Matches are scheduled for Tuesday, April 29.

Montour secured a 9-0 baseball victory over Central Valley Friday, led by Gavin Foley, Matteo Weber, and Zander Stern. The Spartans also achieved a 3-0 boys volleyball win against OLSH Thursday night.
