AJ Buford scored crucial points in overtime to lead Moon Area to a 48-45 victory over Montour, securing third place in WPIAL Class 5A Section 4. Montour also advanced to the playoffs despite the loss. Bishop Canevin won its Class 3A section outright while Our Lady of the Sacred Heart earned a share of its Class 2A section title.

OLSH's Jake Johnson scored his 1,000th career point.
The Moon Area Tigers won their fifth consecutive game, defeating the Montour Spartans 3-2 Monday night in a PIHL matchup at Clearview Arena. Despite Montour's early lead, the Tigers rallied, with Jordan Rieke scoring twice to secure the victory. Moon finished the regular season at 14-5, ready for playoffs.
Mark Carter scored 21 points to lead Montour to a 56-42 win over Mars Monday night, improving their record to 5-6 in section play. Montour is contending for a playoff spot. In other games, OLSH whipped Western Beaver and in girls play, the Chargers and Bishop Canevin won.

Our Lady of the Sacred Heart topped Shenango 57-19, while Bishop Canevin bested Carlynton 53-41. Washington edged Sto-Rox 62-58, and Avella overcame Cornell 63-49. In girls play, OLSH downed Sto-Rox and Montour fell to West Allegheny.
