Montour triumphed over Quaker Valley 14-0, fueled by Levi Gladu’s triple. In softball, Montour rallied to beat Mars Area 18-5, led by Paige Fiedler and Natalie Ciamacco.
Girls flag football: Moon Area opens WPIAL tournament with pair of victories
The Moon Area Tigers rolled to a pair of wins Tuesday in the inaugural WPIAL girls flag football championship playoffs, held at Montour High School's Thomas J. Birko Memorial Stadium. Moon defeated Keystone Oaks, 33-13, in Tuesday's tournament opener and followed with a 33-6 win over top seeded Seton LaSalle.
